Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and PiP Studio for use of the official website, account service, and Windows desktop application. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law says otherwise.

3. Service

PiP Studio provides Windows screen recording plus independent camera and avatar overlays. Features include full-display and custom-area capture, mixed system and microphone audio, playback review, local export, account management, and entitlement delivery. Availability can vary by plan, device, region, and app version.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use PiP Studio to violate privacy, intellectual-property, recording-consent, export-control, or other applicable laws. Do not bypass licensing, distribute modified application binaries, or interfere with the service.

5. Plans and payments

Core recording is offered under the Free plan. Paid plans may add avatar capabilities, commercial-use rights, and support. Prices, taxes, payment methods, and refund rights are shown before purchase and may vary by region or store. Microsoft Store purchases are also governed by Microsoft’s applicable store terms.

The current global website may not yet offer checkout in every region. A displayed reference price is not a completed offer until a supported checkout confirms the final amount and currency.

6. Avatar and content rights

You retain rights in recordings you create, subject to the rights of other people and materials in them. Commercial-use rights for bundled avatars depend on the active entitlement and applicable asset licenses. You may not extract, resell, sublicense, or separately distribute bundled models, textures, motions, or other assets.

7. Updates and availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Microsoft Store builds receive updates through the Store; other builds may use the in-app updater. Back up important recordings and test your workflow before a critical session.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or a specific recording duration, resolution, frame rate, latency, or tracking result. Liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may suspend access for serious violations, fraud, security threats, or legal requirements.
